The card shows a character that is half male and half female. The masculine side of the character sports a beard shadow, a flexed bicep and overalls, and carries a wrench, while the feminine side wears a party dress and a ponytail with a bow, and carries a fancy purse
Parodies/Represents[]
The character possibly references hermaphrodites, or creatures with both male and female characteristics. "Half Nelson" refrences the name of a wrestling move. The wrench that the male side of the character carries is a sendup of the stereotypical belief that boys and men are good at or interested in working with tools. The “Where Are They Now” version of the character shows the male half marrying the female half with other GPK characters attending the wedding. This could be a riff on some unpartnered people “marrying themselves” or some single folks reinventing their state of being as being “self-partnered”
